Curator Rachel Adams has initiated the Architecture Film Series to further the conversation between architecture and contemporary art in conjunction with her exhibitions at Disjecta. Please join us for the final film of the series,Citizen Architect: Samuel Mockbee and the Spirit of the Rural Studio, with an introduction by Rachel Adams.

Featuring interviews with architects like Cameron Sinclair, Peter Eisenman, and Michael Rotondi, this documentary explores the life and legacy of architect and public-interest-design pioneer Samuel Mockbee. Mockbee was a founder of the radical design/build program, the Rural Studio at Auburn University, in one of America’s most impoverished communities.
