Learn how larger-than-life videos can create dynamic audience experiences through the use of video projection.

Do you want to use video projection as a creative medium? In this workshop, you’ll be introduced to video installation techniques, including:

  • Scripting spatial experiences for people exploring your installation space, including a brief introduction to projection mapping
  • Looping and cycling moving images
  • Synchronization of sound and images

Through hands-on exercises and discussions, you’ll discover how to craft powerful, experiential works of public art that engage viewers and express unique perspectives through projection. Students are given an extra week between the third and fourth sessions to produce their original work.

Introductory: Aimed at novice media makers with some prior knowledge of media production, Introductory classes move at a pace for learners who are new to the field of media but already have a basic understanding of the concepts in the class description.
